American Academy of Pediatrics Recognizes Donna Scowden
Lynn Cramer, a nationally recognized pediatric practice manager dedicated to improving healthcare for children, was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident in the spring of 2015. To honor her legacy, the Pediatric Practice Management Alliance (PPMA), a sub-organization of the AAPâs Section on Administration and Practice Management has established the Lynn Cramer Pediatric Practice Manager Award.
This award recognizes a member of PPMA who exemplifies Lynnâs devotion to excellence in pediatric practice management. This yearâs first annual award has been presented to Donna Scowden, Pediatric Practice Manager with Peachtree Park Pediatrics of Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout much of her career, Donna guided this pediatric practice through ongoing change and challenges to bring the practice to its current state of pediatric excellence.
âDonna is exactly the kind of pediatric practice manager who exemplifies the level of commitment to improving pediatric healthcare practiced by Lynn Cramer,â stated Robert Wiskind, M.D., Managing Partner with Peachtree Park Pediatrics. “Donna’s dedication does not stop with our practice,” added Dr. Wiskind.
“In her work with Kids Health First (KHF), Donna has served as the Practice Administrator representative on the Quality Committee, as well as serving in a similar capacity with the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (GAAAP).
